Linda Brown as two little munchkins shown above are mixed breeds rescued from puppy mills from North Dakota and Minnesota. Bichon/American Eskimo mix and Pomeranian/toy poodle mix.  These two are in training and with the  energy between the Bic-eski and Pom-poo are second to none, full of personality, love and fun.

Linda has shown the American Eskimo breed in Obedience Trails in the UKC and AKC competition rings as well as winning points in the conformation AKC arena and achieving a Canine Good Citizen Title for Yuki, her handsome Eski.

Philosophy in training:
Linda has trained and taught dog obedience in many different styles of obedience since 1984 in the Twin Cities area as a handler and apprentice. Linda is a certified dog trainer through Animal Behavior College and utilizes the reward style of positive reinforced training techniques.  These techniques root the handler in understanding the dog nonverbal signals as the dog learns verbal cues.  Through this interchange the handler and dog achieve a higher level of understanding, respect, and cooperation.

Linda believes in partnering and referring students to other local training schools, as there is a lot of great courses, instructors, and activities to partake.

Linda's approach is a gentle and rewarding system using positive reinforced methods.  The animal learns by having a strong fundamental foundation when both the nonverbal and verbal from the dog and handler is understood.  This type of training builds upon body language but expands vocabulary cues for the dog as well as the repertoire for the handle.  During this learning process, a bond develops between the pet and owner for a trusted relationship.  With good communication brings confidence which brings freedom to explore together and capture the FUN!

Opportunities to perform with your dog doesn't stop here.  There is so many activities for owners and pets these days, it would be important to get the foundation of obedience, reliability, and trust with your pet before moving into these areas.

Linda holds a three additional academic degrees:.  BS Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and AS in health.  Health, family and friends are her priority in life.  In addition Linda is a Sandan (3rd degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate though Midwest Karate as well as a Middle Eastern Dancer (Belly Dancer) who performs under the stage name "Aylalini".

Linda gives back to the community in many ways as well.  Besides being an active participant in many dog training clubs.  Linda also volunteers for pet adoption agencies as well as reeducating children at Women's Shelters to provide an opportunity helping kids with their fears as wells as breaking the cycle violent behavior, (the animal is the first to take aggression in family violence).  As a former foster parent for Second Chance Pet Adoption and current handler for a couple of pet adoption organizations, Linda believes in training these pet while they awaiting to be adopted, besides it is entertaining to see the dogs personalities shine on adoption day.

The dogs enjoy the attention during this time, but more important they demonstrate their skills and personality.  They show very well during the adoption days when they are being trained with cue/games and pampered, as these are very stressful venues for the pets.
